ReplyDeleteDearest Ela,
ReplyDeleteI sent you some books. Keep in mind that these books belonged and were read by your Daddy, your Aunt Jennifer and your Aunt Stephanie, when they were children. These books are OLD! Therefore, they look old and some are shabby and tattered. I am sure that you will still enjoy having them read to you and reading them yourself.
Love,
Grandmommy ( I am not sure of what you will call me?)
"Grandmommy" sounds great to me -- I love it!
ReplyDeleteGrandmommy it is!
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest all of the Shel silverstein books http://www.shelsilverstein.com/html/books.asp
ReplyDelete(and even his music).
Dave Barry & Ridley Pearson - "Peter and the Starcatcher" series http://www.peterandthestarcatchers.com/
ReplyDeleteI think you hit many that I would recommend, but I'd definitely add "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss. It will serve her well throughout childhood and beyond. :)
