Ela's Books

During a recent family walk Brian and I started reminiscing about our favorite children's books. Even though Ela is still a little ways away from reading on her own (at LEAST a few months) we'd really like to collect a wonderful little library of books for her. That way we can begin reading to her right away, and hopefully she'll grow up loving books.

We wanted to share our "favorites" list, and ask for suggestions of any great books we may not have thought of.

  5. Dearest Ela,
I sent you some books. Keep in mind that these books belonged and were read by your Daddy, your Aunt Jennifer and your Aunt Stephanie, when they were children. These books are OLD! Therefore, they look old and some are shabby and tattered. I am sure that you will still enjoy having them read to you and reading them yourself.
    Love,
Grandmommy ( I am not sure of what you will call me?)

  9. I think you hit many that I would recommend, but I'd definitely add "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss. It will serve her well throughout childhood and beyond. :)
